'Little Britain' Film A Big Rumour?
April 10th 2008 18:33
Word is that David Walliams and Matt Lucas will have Little Britain USA up and filming within the week – but what of the once planned Little Britain movie? Since 2006, there has been talk of film interest from the US, with the possibility of a TV series thrown in for good measure, but while it seems the American version of the show has come to fruition, the feature length production has not.
Last year, Lucas and Walliams were reported to have decided against the film, but with their move to the US and the release of the Little Britain PS2 game, there was much hope that the movie was still in the works. However, it’s looking more and more like there will be not more Vicky Pollard, Lou and Andy, or Daffydd Thomas at all after the American series, as after seven years, since beginning the show on radio, Lucas and Walliams have been hinting at their desire to move on to something new.
I, for one, will be waiting for the HBO version of Little Britain to arrive Down Under, as well as keeping an ear out for any rumours of a resurrection of the proposed film. I’ll also be closely watching Lucas and Walliams, because I know that whatever mischief they get up to in the future, Little Britain or not – I definitely want to be part of it.

Ok, if you hate the show, you probably don't find that amusing, but I can tell you, I'm just cracking myself up here.

I think a film would be cool, though I would like it to be set in Britain. At least they have said they won't be altering themselves to suit America.
Thanks for stopping by!

Cringe. Twins from Big Brother would be enough I think! Loved Dawn French's cameo. I think they should get Sacha Baron Cohen or Ricky Gervais since I think Lucas has done writing for them both before.
In the words of Anne: "Eh Eh Ehhhh". Meaning: "Thank you ever so much for popping in, Louie."

That they are, and I'm the same. They do some pretty contraversial stuff - but shit it's funny.
