The Offspring Have Sprung On The SATC Set

October 23rd 2007 19:34
If the new photos are anything to go by, it seems Miranda and Steve’s son, Brady, is all grown up, and Harry and Charlotte’s ‘Chinese delivery’ has arrived, which presumably proves the rumours of Charlotte’s pregnancy being part of a ‘dream sequence’.

When last we saw Brady – the miraculous result of a “mercy f***” between Miranda, who has a lazy ovary, and Steve, who had a testicle removed due to cancer – he was but a tiny tot. Now five years old, Brady joins his on-screen mother, played by Cynthia Nixon, on the set of the up-and-coming movie.

And Harry and Charlotte’s little girl, whom we have not yet met, appears to be blossoming as part of the York-Goldenblatt family. When the series ended in 2003, the Park Avenue pair, after many failed IVF attempts, and one failed effort to adopt, had just learned that a baby girl from China was heading their way.

Now that the kids are out and about, the time that has passed is more apparent; but the real question is, since the series was so fast-paced and the movie is set in real time – just how much has happened since the glossy posse last graced our screens?

Can't understand a word of it, but love the kids, especially a little redhead, I've always loved red hair. So top marks, (as always....thinking mean nasty thoughts - it's called jealousy ) to you, Michaelie.

katyzzz,

I see you have flashes of green there! Am hugely complimented but very unworthy.

This post IS written in a foreign lingo - you have to talk 'Sex'-y to understand it. (It's about Sex and the City: The Movie, which I have a mild (manic) obsession for.)

The kids are tres cute. I like red hair too - I have a good friend with the most beautiful red hair, that you could never find in a bottle.

Unless she cut it off and put it in a jam jar. Sorry, just realised how weird 'finding red hair in a bottle' sounds!

Thanks muchly katyzzz!

Hi Michaelie

I can't wait to see it, but I just hope I'm not going to be disappointed. It seems like they have a lot to cram into a film, how are they going to do it? Ah well

Tracy,

If this disappoints me, I may never get over it.

I think some of the photos and stories that have been coming off the set are hoaxes to confuse everyone, so I don't know what they are actually putting in the film.

Maybe they will do more than one movie...LOL. Part of me would want that (despite my feelings on sequels, which I know you share) because I love it so much and can't seem to get enough, but most of me knows that would just be overdoing it!

Thanks for stopping by Tracy!

Helloo

Yes, I was thinking the same thing, that it sounds like they need a series of films to continue the story and to also end it....like you said, I don't usually endorse sequels but this is an exception!!

I hope we're not disappointed too...fingers crossed

If we are, I will be hunting Michael Patrick King down personally! He knows better than to cause me any angst.

Oh my God! Brady does look like a cross between Steve and Miranda.
That is excellent casting!

I'm with you and T...if this disappionts me...we'll be Vex and the S***ty!!

Did I read somewhere (one of your posts?) that Steve may not feature much in this?
I like his character and I loved that Miranda realised he was the one for her...even though Blair Underwood was some kind of yum...

Dusk,

Yes, Brady really does look like their get! Lol. Miranda's hair and Steve's funny eyes. And he's been there since babyhood so they really got lucky.

I have mentioned that Steve isn't supposed to be around so much, and there may be conflict. He has barely filmed anything so far, I think, and there were casting calls for someone to play a marriage counsellor - reportedly for Miranda and Steve.

I didn't like him as much in season three, where he got a bit annoying, but otherwise I LOVE him. I really hope they stay together but your right - Blair Underwood...

Ok was going to make a dirty joke based on his name but best not!

Thanks sweetness!

First thought that came to me when i saw that red-haired kid, can so be Miranda and Steve's *real* kid! Like Dusk said, excellent casting for that. ...and yes, Blair was yum...

He certainly could be! But Cynthia Nixon's not putting herself in the firing line any more, now that she has her lady lover!

I didn't like Blair's character so much - was glad Miranda went for Stevo in the end - but he is rather delectable.

Thanks Lara!
