Rowland Not 'Sex' Material & SJP Gets Feather In Her Cap

Kelly Rowland, best known for her singing career with Destiny’s Child and her debut film role in Freddy vs. Jason, has revealed she auditioned for a part in Sex and the City: The Movie a couple of weeks ago – and was turned down at stage one. “I guess it wasn’t meant to be,” the singer told OK! magazine.
But while Rowland isn’t ‘Sex’-y enough, it seems Sarah Jessica Parker is ‘The Unsexiest Woman Alive’. Parker, whose alter-ego is SATC’s Carrie Bradshaw, was voted least sexy in a poll by Maxim magazine last month.
Relegated to the ranks of Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse would be a hell of a blow for most women, but SJP has laughed it off, insisting that she doesn’t think she’s sexy either.
While I don’t think the style superstar deserved the number one spot, I can’t say she has that innate allure some people exude – particularly when she has her turquoise feather on. I admire her work as the medium through which Carrie presents herself to the world, but when she dons that damned plume… I feel like wringing her scrawny neck. Did fashion bastion Patricia Field really devise this?
And if it wasn’t bad enough that she quill-ed her coiffure once – she’s gone and killed, I mean quill-ed, it again. The SATC team has shot scenes of a wedding between Big and Carrie again, this time at the New York Public Library.
Word about the traps was that footage from the first shoot – where we see Carrie whacking Big with her bouquet before leaving in a rage – was unusable, and so had to be redone. This makes sense since the gals are all wearing the same Zac Posen dresses, but why go to so much trouble for a supposed ‘dream sequence’? And why has SJP been saying that the film will feature “two weddings”? I hope to hell this one isn’t the real deal.

Not being a fan of SATC I am ill-equipped to comment on the film BUT can I say, that dress is just dreamy! It might be worth going to see the flick just to see it swishing from side to as SJP walks down the aisle!

It looks better in this shot than it did in the others, but I don't like the way her hair is styled - makes her face look too drawn - and the lipstick and feather do not help! It's Vivienne Westwood, and I think far too conservative for the character of Carrie, which is probably putting me off it even more.
If I look at it with unbiased SATC eyes (a difficult feat, lol) I can see what you're saying.

Kelly has beautiful glossy hair! Though I wonder what it looks like before the stylists hit it... She's a great singer, maybe not right for the movie.

I don't like her looks really - she's so skinny and veiny and often her face looks downright gaunt and old - but I love that she shunned plastic surgery in spite of it, and sometimes she can look really lovely and natural, when she's in her fashion plate state, and has her hair and makeup done in a way that suits her (not severely or over-bright).
She's laughing at it to the press - what else could you do - at home she's probably smashing furniture and stuff, lol.
