Hotted Up Sex, Cars And Stars

Despite shooting having wrapped in the domain of the ‘fifth lady’, New York, there is still a lot happening on the set – and off the set – of the Sex and the City movie.

• Filming is ongoing in California with many scenes apparently due to be set at honeymoon hotspot, Cabo, and in a plush mansion in Malibu.
• The yet-to-be-revealed Mercedes Benz GLK will be driven by Samantha around her new home of Los Angeles.
• A lot of “very costly” airbrushing is to be employed in the editing suite. The now middle-aged actresses will be artificially smoothed and toned, “not just their faces but their legs, arms and necks”, in order to make them seem younger to audiences. Soft lighting has also been used.
• Star magazine has reported that Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon will receive ‘secret’ bonuses at the conclusion of the film, as a thank you for dealing with the diva antics of Kim Cattrall.
• According to Fox, Jason Lewis, who plays Samantha’s lover Smith Jerrod, is now living with new girlfriend Jennifer Aniston, and the couple are expecting a baby.
• Kim Cattrall has agreed to donate the furs used in a protest scene of the film to the homeless – once PETA spray-paint red X’s on them.

It’s all happening – and remember, it’s 2008 now, Sex and the City: The Movie will be coming out this year. Yay!

I could hardly believe it because it was all very quick - but he does have a little bit of the Brad Pitt look about him!

*Sigh* Why do they have to do that? I wish they'd just let people look the way they really look.

To play devil's advocate, I know that if they didn't use all that airbrushing all people would talk about was how atrocious they look, but I still don't like it...

Jen and 'Smith' - that's the word on the street, we'll just have to see if it bears... a baby.

Apparently Kristen had to break up a fight between Kim and SJP, so she deserves that bonus! And the airbrushing etc... imagine the time that will take! We KNOW they are older, they should just leave the evidence of it there. I'll be annoyed if it's all shot in Days of our Lives lighting!

Yeah, you have read my mind. I wish they could be as they are - after all, they are not playing 20 year olds - but more than that, I wish we lived in a society that didn't put so much pressure on women to not be how they are.

I read that SJP insisted on the airbrushing and soft lighting, and is overseeing it. I thought she may have been a little bit braver than that. I hope it doesn't take too much from the movie.
