The Inbetweeners: The Movie

March 20th 2011 05:44
The four misfit adolescent boys known as The Inbetweeners are set to hit the big screen later this year in a film that will no doubt be incredibly crass, scrupulously low-brow, steadfastly indecent and therefore endlessly entertaining.

Directed by Ben Palmer, who steered the second season, and written by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris who also penned the series, the film will have Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison reprising their roles as Will, Simon, Jay and Neil as the lads turn eighteen and head off on holidays in the party town of Malia.

The film is rumoured to involve sunburn in the shape of a penis, a randy dinner lady and a nine-year-old bully. Australian release details are not yet known so stay tuned.

Hey Mich,

Do you watch the series? We borrowed all of them from my brother-in-law and it's really funny but I don't think we should've watched so many all in one go as the humour gets quite exhausting after a while! It's definitely unique...and I wonder what the film will be like. Did you know all the actors are in their twenties?

Hey Trace!

Yes I do watch it, I'm waiting for them to release it on DVD in Australia. It shows on TV here so I assume they will soon.

I was in hysterics the first time I watched it though Will wavers between amusing me and annoying me at times.

I did know they were older than they seem, but Jay in particular looks really young!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you're well!

Hiya Mich!

A couple of the girls at work love the series and have been trying to get me to watch it, but I can't bring myself to - the cringe factor is too high for me!

Hence, I will continue to glean what I know of the series/movie from what I hear and read .

Cheers!
